Proof Of Salvation

Evidence and proof of salvation that cannot be debated or questioned is found in Romans 8:9-11…

You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, IF in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. 10 But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 IF the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.

Do you get the sense Paul is trying to make a point?  That means some things are NOT proof of a saved condition…

Belonging to a church or denomination…

Being baptized either by sprinkling or immersion…

Having right doctrine or theology…

Having joined the church when you were young…

Walking an aisle or praying a prayer…

Believing in God is also left out of the equation!

Most of those who believe they are saved are decieved on these very points.  And they won’t realize it until it is too late75% of Americans call themselves Christians, yet the morality and conduct of those in our nation is deplorable at best.  According to Jesus, a majority of those people are deceived.

As Paul wrote in 2 Cor 13:5, “Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!”  THE test is Christ IN YOU… and THAT is joy.

As I blogged on this morning, there is so much complacency to the point that people aren’t taking god serious, they don’t know that they have the wrong answer to the question.
