Harold Camping Is A False Prophet

May 21, 2011 has passed and the rapture hasn’t taken place (Click Here for yesterday’s post).  Harold Camping was wrong in his prediction about Jesus’ return… again.

There were severe penalties in the Old Covenant for those who claimed to speak for God and their prediction didn’t come true.  It’s a good thing we live under grace.  At the very least, Harry should apologize to the Church and never speak in front of anyone again about anything related to the Christian Faith.

What concerns me are those who have had their faith shipwrecked because of this old man.  People like…

Robert Fitzpatrick, 60, spent his entire $140,000 life savings on 1,000 subway-car placards and ads at bus stops warning about May 21. The ads read: “Global Earthquake: The Greatest Ever! Judgment Day May 21, 2011.”

Another Camping follower, 27-year-old Adrienne Martinez, was planning to go to medical school but decided not to after listening to Family Radio. Martinez and her husband, Joel, had lived in New York City but a year ago quit their jobs and moved to Orlando. They spent their time reading the Bible and distributing tracts, according to NPR. They have a two-year-old daughter and a second child due next month.  “We budgeted everything so that, on May 21, we won’t have anything left,” Adrienne said to NPR.

Then it bothers me because of how unbelievers have been given a reason to deride the Christian faith.  As it is written in Romans 2:24, “The name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.”

Because of people like this, and many others, it is imperative that everything you hear that comes out of anyone’s mouth must be tested by God’s Word!  Thus it is written in 1 John 4:1“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.”  Harold Camping is a false prophet…

Now to other news…

Well this Harold guy is an old geyser who thinks his some kind of saver of the human race. Well buddy I guess we survived our judgment day like we survived 1994 and the next false date you’l come up with. Since hs is so good at being wrong all the time, I wonder what excuse he’ll have this time around?

Harold Camping was wrong to have predicted a date for Jesus’ return, but correct that Jesus will one day return to earth. There’s a big difference between the two…

There will be NO future rapture of saints. All prophecies were fulfilled by a.d. 70 1st century just as Jesus promised. The end times/last days Jesus taught about concerned those in the 1st century. It was the end times/ last days of the old covenant Jewish religion and culture. Google preterism.

I don’t need to google preterism, I know what it is. And at best sir you can say that your view is that there won’t be a rapture of the saints. Your statement of “There will be NO future rapture of saints” is as dogmatic an assertion as Mr. Camping saying there was “no doubt” the rapture would occur.

I have friends who hold different views of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. They all study the same Bible… pray to the same God… and are led of the same Holy Spirit. Yet they all believe differently and that is okay. I suggest that YOU go read Romans 14:5. I also suggest that you remember that “Knowelege puffs up but love builds up” (1 Cor 8:1).

Be careful sir how you present your thoughts and beliefs. The goal is to win, not offend.

The End according to Christ not Harold Camping. It’s good to expect the return of The Savior but isn’t it wiser to get the answer from the source.
Listen to the words in the song below. Tedd Webb of WFLA Tampa calls it “Hauntingly accurate.”
